Account information: Your name, email address, password, and state of residence when you create an account.
Complaint information: The details you provide about your complaint, including company name, dates, dollar amounts, descriptions of what happened, and any supporting details. This information is necessary to generate your complaint documents.
Chat conversations: The messages you exchange with our AI assistant during the complaint intake process.
Payment information: Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, only a record of the transaction (amount, date, Stripe session ID).
We use your information to generate complaint documents, file complaints on your behalf (Full Service), communicate with you about your case, process payments, and improve our service.
Your complaint details are sent to the Anthropic API (Claude) for document generation. Anthropic's data usage policies apply to that processing. We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
We share your information only in these cases:
Government agencies: For Full Service customers, we submit your complaint to the relevant government agency (DOT, FCC, CFPB, State DOI, or State AG). This is the core service you're paying for.
Service providers: We use Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI document generation), and Vercel (hosting). Each processes data as necessary to provide their service.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request.
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via Supabase, and Stripe's PCI-compliant payment processing. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
We retain your account and complaint data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping purposes. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below.
You can access, update, or delete your account information. If you're a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what data we collect and the right to request deletion. Contact us to exercise these rights.
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Clawback is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
